12/24 Hours on a bike, come on...

Well, cyclocross season is coming to an end, at least here in Alabama. This will mark the official end of the 2006 cycling season. The holidays are slowing approaching and that means that the weather is getting colder and we may not be riding quite as much. Before you know it, you will be recovering from a self-induced coma that we like to call New Year's Eve. So let's take a look into the future... it is now 2007, it is cold as you know what, but spring is right around the corner. Kind of gets the mind thinking about the upcoming riding season. Who will still be riding? Who has stopped riding? Who has turned into a fat piece of lard that has organically attached itself to the sofa? Will I race this year? Which races will I do?

Well, here is an idea for 2007... endurance racing. 12/24 hours on a bike, racing against the clock. By yourself or with a team, this is one of the most extreme forms of mountain biking out there. The biggest test you can put yourself through, both physically and mentally. If endurance racing is something you have thought about (one of Outside Magazines things to do before you die) check out the following schedule of events at www.424.com

Upcoming races include:

April 28, 2007 - The First Annnual "Dirt Sweat & Gears" 12 Hour in Fayettville, TN
Biggest purse ever in endurance racing, going to bring a huge crowd!
